A long-serving member of the Collins Place Physio team, Peter specialises in treating a diverse range of musculoskeletal injuries with a special interest in the area of Jaw (TMJ) pain and dysfunction. Previously consulting at The Royal Dental Hospital of Melbourne and teaching at the University of Melbourne, Peter has extensive experience in assessing, diagnosing and devising treatment plans for TMJ. Peter is well known for his ethos of going above and beyond in the provision of care for his patients and in 2013 was awarded The Lord mayor’s Silver Commendation for his significant contribution to the health and vitality of the Melbourne community. Hailing from Count Tipperary Ireland and armed with an honours degree in Physiotherapy, Conor brings to the Collins Place Physio team a great interest in sports medicine. Having worked previously with elite PGA golfers, Rugby, Soccer and Basketball athletes, Conor specialises in treating acute traumatic sporting injuries. Also qualified in developing Return to Work and Stay at Work rehabilitation programs, Conor’s methods focus on using multi-disciplinary treatment plans to correct muscle imbalances and restore joint movement and strength. Mariana brings a wealth of experience to Collins Place Physio having worked in a wide range of settings including city based clinics and spas, professional sports teams and the John Cade unit for eating disorders at Royal Melbourne Hospital. Mariana holds a Diploma in Remedial Massage Therapy as well completing further study in both Relaxation Massage and Reflexology. Mariana’s holistic approach to treatment sees her utilising numerous treatment techniques including Trigger Point Therapy, Myofascial Release, Muscle energy techniques (MET), Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF), Manual lymphatic drainage (MLD), Dry Needling and exercise prescription. Mariana has special interests in Women’s Health and Naturopathy and is passionate about her clients achieving their desired results by ensuring her treatment is tailored to their the individual needs.
