Cameron studied his Extended Masters in Physiotherapy at Bond University on the Gold Coast after completing a Bachelor of Exercise Science and a Bachelor of Business Studies at Charles Sturt University in Bathurst NSW.
Prior to Cameron’s journey through his Doctor of Physiotherapy studies, Cameron was able to compete against some of the best in the State, while playing Youth League Basketball for the Bathurst Goldminers.
Towards the end of his undergraduate degrees, Cameron decided to take a break from basketball and pursue a new passion … netball! Cameron earned the opportunity to play for his home state, NSW, for two years against some of the best in Australia, coming away with two bronze medals from three different court positions.
Playing these two sports at such a high level gave Cameron an insight into the inner workings of how a high functioning team environment should and does work. He has since taken his knowledge and begun applying it to the world of Physiotherapy; by working closely with everyone involved in an individual’s support network; family members, friends, personal trainers, Exercise Physiologists etc
What Cameron loves about Physiotherapy are the changes that can be seen not only with hands-on treatment, but also with functional exercises and Pilates based programs. He also enjoys what these changes mean to each individual, whether it be taking a second off a personal best time, making that game-winning shot, or hanging the washing on the line without pain, Cameron is ready to celebrate the little victories with you!
When Cameron is not treating, he may be found running up and down the court, working on his game; capturing weird and wonderful things through the lens of his Canon, or maybe you’ll find him out and about exploring Brisbane with his furry little friend Malcolm. So, if you have any ideas about the hidden gems of Brisbane, please let him know.» View details
