Dean is a physiotherapist, graduating from a Master of Physiotherapy degree at The University of Queensland in 2010. Since graduating, Dean has traveled extensively with the Australian Triathlon Team, covering 4 world championships and culminating in working with the team as a senior physiotherapist at the 2016 Rio Olympics.
