Dane joined Caloundra Sportscare early in 2024 after graduating from ACU with First Class Honours in 2023, where he completed his thesis on autoregulated resistance training in older adults. He has a special interest in surfing-related injuries, particularly ankles, knees, and hips, and working with surfers to improve their movement patterns.
Prior to studying Physiotherapy, Dane trained as a professional surfer to compete in the world qualifying series, managed surf resorts in Indonesia and Fiji, worked as an ocean Lifeguard, and managed surf stores throughout the Sunshine Coast and Gold Coast. He continues to represent the Kawana Boardriders Club during inter-club competitions and loves chatting sports, especially the Broncos.
