Raul, originally from Brazil, brings over 10 years of clinical experience to the PhysioMotion Cairns team. Raul was born and raised in a small countryside city in Brazil, where he developed a strong passion for sport and health, along with a dream of becoming a healthcare professional.
He completed his Physiotherapy degree at the Federal University of São Paulo, one of Brazil’s leading universities, and has since worked across a wide range of clinical settings. Raul has extensive experience in home-based rehabilitation, treating patients with complex and long-term conditions, which helped him develop a holistic and compassionate approach to care.
Raul has a strong clinical interest in spinal conditions, post-operative rehabilitation, vestibular rehabilitation, geriatric physiotherapy, and pain management. He also integrates acupuncture into his practice and completed advanced training in Acupuncture and Moxibustion at the China Training Center in Beijing, further expanding his skills in managing chronic pain and musculoskeletal conditions.
In 2020, Raul had the opportunity to visit Australia and immediately fell in love with the lifestyle, beaches, and climate. His passion for physiotherapy, combined with his love of travel and personal growth, led him to pursue his professional career in Australia.
Raul is passionate about helping his patients move better, feel stronger, and regain confidence in their daily activities. He takes a patient-centred, evidence-based approach to treatment and enjoys supporting people through every stage of their rehabilitation journey.
Outside the clinic, Raul enjoys cycling, running, going to the gym, and discovering new places, foods, and cultures.
Raul looks forward to welcoming you to PhysioMotion Cairns and supporting you in achieving your health and movement goals. View details »

Meet Jess, our senior Physiotherapist who comes to us all the way from Dunedin, New Zealand. She’s a proud Kiwi and a University of Otago graduate, with a passion for movement that’s been driving her since day one. Jess has always had this spark for helping people move better, feel better, and live their best physical lives.
In 2019, Jess made the move to Cairns, where she joined the PhysioMotion team and dove right into the vibrant community here. The mix of sunshine, a lively culture, and fantastic opportunities has been a perfect fit for her, both professionally and personally.
Growing up, Jess spent her days playing netball and dancing which gave her a deep appreciation for how our bodies move and groove. Combine that with her love for netball, and you’ve got a physiotherapist who really understands sports physiotherapy and strength & conditioning. She’s especially passionate about helping athletes get back on the field after an injury. Jess gets it, injuries aren’t just tough on the body, but the mind too. She’s dedicated to helping her clients rebuild their strength and confidence.
But Jess doesn’t stop there. She has a special interest in neck, shoulder, and ankle rehabilitation, and she’s all about crafting personalised plans that lead to long-lasting results. She loves watching her clients make progress and get back to doing what they love.
Jess is also committed to working with individuals under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). Helping people improve their mobility and independence is something she finds incredibly rewarding. Jess is all about making a positive impact on her clients’ quality of life.
When she’s not at the clinic, you’ll probably find Jess soaking up the Cairns sunshine. Whether she’s walking her dogs, at the gym, or on the netball court, staying active is key for her. It keeps her grounded, both physically and mentally, and she loves inspiring her clients to stay active too.
Jess can’t wait to meet you at PhysioMotion and start working together on your health and mobility goals. Whether you’re recovering from an injury, managing a chronic condition, or just looking to move better, Jess is here to guide and support you every step of the way. View details »
